They’re back at home now regaining their breath and basking in the glory of great reviews and browsing through great pictures to remember loads of golden moments by. The Gone Bald album Waiting It Out got some nice press coverage in the Balkans, thanks to indie stronghold Moonlee Records, who took the album in distribution. After their recent experiences in France and Belgium earlier in March, it is now time for our hairless heroes to get back in the van. The tour consists of 13 shows in 14 days and focusses mostly on the Balkan countries. On the menu are Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Swiss. If they are doing a show anywhere near you, go see them play. Afterwards you might want to shake their hands and buy them beers. Don’t worry, that’s a natural response.

We dug up some very nice soundboard recordings from Gone Bald playing two songs off Soul Vacation In Rehab Clinic in the Melkweg, Amsterdam in 2003. You can stream and download the two tracks on our new Soundcloud account.

The Slovenian/Croatian label Moonlee Records distributes the Gone Bald album Waiting It Out. It already got some great reviews over there from Helly Cherry, Zurnal, New Noise, Radio Student Ljubjana, Rockline and Pot Lista. Incendiary Magazine says ‘there’s no denying the record’s quality’ and Kwadratuur thinks ‘it could be a brilliant record for noise fans’. Kwadratuur also reviews De Objectieve Lach by Puin+Hoop + Herman Wilken + Coen Oscar Polack and rates it 4 out of 5. Door by Puin + Hoop got 4,5 out of 5 stars from Kwadratuur and an excellent review from Chain D.L.K.: ‘A remarkable release. Highly recommended.’
