This Saturday November 7, we will officially present the Retro Retry 2: Another Another Green World album in Het Patronaat, Haarlem. Alden Tyrell, Rude 66, FFF, Hakki Takki, Spoelstra and Garçon Taupe will provide some live electro, acid, disco and breakcore to celebrate the release. Scheduled for release this September: Retro Retry 2: Another Another Green World (cd). On this album, 14 artists cover Brian Eno’s Another Green World (1975) in it’s entirety. All participating artists are based in the Netherlands and operate in the field of electronic and electro-acoustic music. We’re proud to announce the full line-up: FFF, Polycorn, Legowelt, Rude 66, Coen Oscar Polack, Spoelstra, This Is Total War, Garçon Taupe, Nanko, Baba Electronica & DJ Lonely, Hakki Takki, Puin + Hoop, Hunter Complex and Hydrus. The album is the follow-up to Retro Retry 1: EVOL (2005), on which Sonic Youth’s EVOL was covered by 10 Dutch bands, including Gone Bald, Makazoruki, Pfaff, Fine China Superbone and zZz. The artwork for RR1 was done by Vormversterker. The cd was distributed with That Dam! magazine, which featured an exclusive poem by Lee Ranaldo.
