SGP in Winston: right band, wrong place
SGP, a fine trio from Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, have surely felt the jesus lizard crawling up their pants. Some old, some new 'progressive noiserock' songs entertained us for twenty minutes. I hope the very young hardcorepunk dudes listened well, because the rest of the bands only copied their heroes.What SGP were doing at this so-called hardcore festival in Winston fucking Kingdom on Friday arpil 5th is a mystery to me. Okay, a few songs are a bit hardcore-ish, but for the rest.also judging from two other bands I had to see. Music is my Girlfriend is one of them.mellow peeing yellow. Winston Kingdom in Warmoesstraat: if you really want to get fucked you better go around the corner. Great bands played here, and will probably play there, but it's just not a place where bands feel at home, at least, I never did. The place looks like a disco, the watery beer costs 1,90 euro, and when a band finishes, the dj shoves his dick right into your mouth with some fucking loud bullshit music. Long live SGP and fuck you Winston!
