2012 Plans
Even though our personal lives are busier than ever with Narrominded babies, demanding jobs, ourownmusicalprojects and blogs on grappige plaatjes, we have a nice list of releases coming up this year. We’ll start off with Matto Frank’s beautiful ambient / field recording cd China. Also expected this year: new work from Hydrus, Het Fukking Licht, Coen Oscar Polack & Herman Wilken, Hunter Complex and Garçon Taupe. Do you have any cool ideas to add to this list? Feel free to email us. Have a good one!

On October 19 2011 Spoelstra did a live set at the Stubnitz in Rostock, Germany. The people of Subcity Radio were so kind to make a recording of this performance available online. Listen and enjoy here!

Narrominded is proud to present a new work by Coen Oscar Polack. It is also the first ever live registration to be released on Narrominded. The work Spectral Churches (Uncharted Territory I) was commissioned by the StreetCanvas festival and was performed during the first edition of the festival on October 7 Â 2010, in the middle of the Oude Groenmarkt in Haarlem, The Netherlands. The music on this cd is a multi-tracked live recording of the performance. Spectral Churches is available on limited cd and as a download.

Coen Oscar Polack will release his new cd Spectral Churches next month. The cd will feature a live recording of the work he performed during the StreetCanvas festival in Haarlem last year. The piece consists of treated recordings of the bells in the tower of the Grote of St. Bavokerk in Haarlem. Coen Polack will make a speech about this work and other topics related to his music on September 10 in the Janskerk in Haarlem, during an evening curated by StreetCanvas. His talk will start at 22:30. This Saturday he will perform a short laptop and saxophone set at Fatform in Amsterdam Kraaiennest. He will take the stage around 15:00. Others on the bill include Hakki Takki, DJ Lonely and Bertin. We hope to see you there, it will be fun!
Noisegazers Katadreuffe and mathgoofballs Boutros Bubba have both nearly finished new stuff. Katadreuffe is putting final touches to a 4 song EP that will be called Period. Boutros Bubba is doing the same for their new album Ridiculous Wrists. Period is most likely available in October or November. The release date of the Boutros Bubba album depends on when the cover art is finished. Rumours are that the bands lead singer/guitar player Spoelstra is attempting to paint an album cover on canvas using his erect penis as a brush.
By the way, there is a (new) Katadreuffe website. Check it out: katadreuffe.com
