Our friends at Kaiserlabel are throwing a party, we are invited and so are you! Spread over three nights in May and June, the suitably titled Kaiserfest will feature Narrominded dronemeisters Puin + Hoop and different groups featuring Kruno JoÅ¡t and Gijs Borstlap, who released their collaborative cd Quasi Quasi with us last year. So pull out your agenda’s and block these dates: May 13 and June 17 Kaiserfest will hit Amsterdam’s Zaal 100, and on June 18 OCCII, also in Amsterdam, is the place to be. Also performing on these three nights: Machinist, Back Stabbath, Monotonos, Adolf Butler and many more. Check out the very teasing trailer below.
Katadreuffe played on the 50th release party of Noise Problems earlier this year. Noise Problems is an organisation that records live shows and releases them as free downloads and streams. The recording of Katadreuffe live at the OCCII has been mixed and mastered and is now available as a free download on the Noise Problems website. Look out for new music by Katadreuffe later this summer.
Earlier this month Katadreuffe played a gig at the Noise Problems party at the OCCII in Amsterdam. The whole gig was recorded on video with a webcam, but the audio was recorded through the soundboard. Have a look and listen here. The audio will also be available later as a mp3 download. Also check out two beautiful pictures of Spoelstra live at Café Pakhuis Wilhemina in Amsterdam. They were taken by Kasper Vogelzang. Good job man!
This Thursday March 11, Katadreuffe is playing at a Noise Problems party at Occii (Amsterdam). Noise Problems is an organisation that records live shows and releases them as free downloads and streams. To celebrate their 50th release, they’re throwing a party with besides Katadreuffe a.o. the very nice Amsterdam-based bands Pony Pack and The Secret Love Parade. Needless to say that the evening will be recorded and released as well, so come check out the party and maybe we’ll hear your disordely conduct and whatnot on Noise Problem #50!
After releasing 100 Ways to Become Cool on Narrominded in 2007, Gone Bald‘s rhythm section left the band to continue working on other bands and projects like Spoelstra, Garçon Taupe and Boutros Bubba. This left Gone Bald in a two-year hiatus, that will be ended in style: This month, the band returns with a new lineup and kicks off their renewed presence in Amsterdam’s underground rockscene with a big party celebrating Gone Bald’s 15 year birthday. The June 19 2009, Occii, Amsterdam lineup: Rubbermade, Controllar, Puntzy est Carina, Kanipchen-Fit, Wolfling, Hands Up Who Wants To Die (Ireland) and DJ WAIKIKI (Wilf Plum). Master of ceremonies is the one and only Don Marco. For more info, check out www.gonebald.net, where you can also download the brand new song The Art of Sideburns.
