eclectro narrominded 10 year anniversary mix Narrominded 10 Year Anniversary Mix @ EclectroThe good people at the Dutch electronic music blog Eclectro.nl have published an exclusive Narrominded 10 Year Anniversary Mix. There’s some familiar tracks from the electronic parts of our back catalogue in there, but also a lot of stuff that can be heard for the first time ever. We asked the artists that appear on stage during our 10 Year Anniversary parties to hand over a new track and we’ve mixed it into a suitably eclectic whole. You can stream or download it. Enjoy!

dgsuitgelicht groot e1268056893134 100x100 Days Grow Short Radio LOOOVES Narrominded (and vice versa!!)The Days Grow Short Radio section at Dutch electronica blog Eclectro.nl is not only great because it hosts our monthly NMFM audio shows, but also because it is home to a lot of other mixmasters who do great jobs on a regular basis. Take for instance the modern day blaxploitation of The Daisy Age and the eclectic ramblings of More Tea Vicar? Now that is nice mixing. Be advised to also check the new mix by Days Grow Short guest star Koen Nutters (of DNK-Amsterdam fame) And last but not least the excellent new mix bij DJ Katzwijn, featuring a lot of Narrominded classixxx : )

nrc next 100x100 NRC Next reviews Retro Retry 2, Nalden plays Garçon Taupe and new reviews of Spoelstra and KatadreuffeRetro Retry 2: Another Another Green World got some mainstream attention in NRC Next: ‘Not all the remakes are evenly succesful, but I’m sure Eno will appreciate this album. After all, he always encouraged breaking down conventions.’
Lobo
by Garçon Taupe, elected dance track of 2009 on Eclectro, made it into the playlist of Nalden, a prominent Dutch lifestyle blogger.
The Almighty Internet
by Spoelstra has just been released, but already got two great reviews. Vital Weekly: ‘Shut down Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and go that nice bar around the corner, and have some of this great music, preferably played by Spoelstra, sweating over his equipment. Loud is best, cold beer in your hand, and Spoelstra’s quirky electro beats, chopped up synth lines, bits of noise will do the rest.’ Incendiary Magazine on Spoelstra: ‘I love it, and if you like the oddball, you’ll love it too.’
Incendiary Magazine also reviewed Katadreuffe‘s Quel Gargantua EP: ‘It’s a long time I heard any band so wound up and truculent, to be honest. Fantastic stuff.’

NMFM 100x100 NMFM moves to Eclectro.nl New edition onlineNMFM has a new home. Dutch webzine Eclectro.nl is hosting our audioshows from now on. A new edition, NMFM #4: And Dream Of Bleep, is now online and available as stream and mp3 download. A few months ago we started a new series of NMFM audio shows on the now defunct Dutch site Cut-Up, which recently called it quits after nine years of cultural blogging. We are delighted that Eclectro has given us a new home and we will continue to make cool narrocast audioshows, full of new musical ideas, received demos and interesting links (forced and found) in music. Our columnist Peter Bruyn will continue his great work for our shows as well. Past shows are also available here.

Legowelt’s In Dark Trees, taken from our Retro Retry 2 album, made it to a thirteenth place.
