After being responsible for production and engineering duties at the latest Katadreuffe recording session earlier this summer, Bas Jongboer has joined Katadreuffe on bass guitar. Former bass player Michiel van Overmeire played his final show with Katadreuffe on July 31 at the Winston Kingdom in Amsterdam. Bas will make his on stage debut with the band on September 19 at the Incubate festival in Tilburg at Kafee ‘t Buitenbeentje, exactly fifty days later.
Before a short summer recess, Katadreuffe will attempt to record four songs: three newer ones, also to be found on the Smooth Operators ‘digital’ album, including their biggest hit yet, and one golden oldie, at the Russenberg horticultural facilities in Valkenburg this upcoming weekend, June 26 through 28. The recordings might potentially serve as the follow-up to their Quel Gargantua! EP, released earlier this year on Narrominded. Bas Jongboer will be tweaking some buttons.
